Cooperative sector is the third largest and most important contributor to the national economy. As everybody knows, it has contributed a lot to the rising socio, economic and political status of mass in general and the poor in particular. The remarkable contribution made by cooperative are in the area of production, distribution of sugar, fertilizer, cotton, in the area of Banking, Housing, Marketing etc. To make these people’s organization more popular and economically viable, National Council for Cooperative Training (NCCT), New Delhi started its units in the name of Institute of Cooperative Management (ICM) at different parts of country to impart required knowledge, skill and change people’s attitudes through various functionally relevant training programme in cooperative training to the personnel serving in Cooperative Organizations and Cooperative Department.
Dhananjayrao Gadgil Institute of Cooperative Management established in the year 1972 with consent of the Government of Maharashtra and Government of India to provide Cooperative Training, Education and Consultancy to the personnel working in Cooperative Institutions of Maharashtra state and Cooperative Department of Government of Maharashtra
